Interviews Hip Hop Artist AdELA (@adelamusic)

This interview is for all the Hip Hop lovers. AdELA has been working non-stop to make her presence known in this industry. Check out her latest song “PAYOFF.”

FROST:  It is quite a bit of excitement, How is it going AdELA? Thanks for taking the time to interview with us it is a pleasure.

AdELA: Thank you so much for having me!

FROST: For those who don’t know who you are, please introduce yourself Lol. (Let em’ know)

AdELA: My name is AdELA, I am a singer/rapper, and I just keep dropping FIRE music!

FROST: Now I have been bumping your new song, “PAYOFF”  and it is DOPE. I am going to make a bold statement. AdELA has created a lane that she owns. What are your thoughts?

AdELA: I am so happy that you said that! For years people have been asking me who I would compare myself to, and I was always adamant in saying I am in my own lane. I am a fan of so many artists but I never want to take their style, it was important for me to stay in my lane and do what I felt was right. I have been blessed to be able to do that with the last two projects and now for this third album.

FROST: What was the process of putting together the song “PAYOFF?

AdELA: Well, my producer, C-Kay sent me the track, and I just knew it was the one.  My longtime writing partner Aizen, and I went in on it and brought in Awdassity who added his flavor. I then recorded the track with Alonda Rich. STREETRUNNER and Tarik Azzouz came in and put that sauce on it. Tommy EP mixed and mastered it, McInstosh Brothers, and the whole process was overseen by my A&R Omen, and my label VIM Entertainment. I say all of that to say it is always important to know that it takes a team in this business to accomplish big things.

FROST: Is there a new album dropping? What can we all expect from you in the future?

AdELA: The new album is straight heat. Every time I get ready to go in on a new project, there is a part of me that worries that I won’t be able to top the last project, but somehow, along with my team, we do! I am such a fan of the music on this third album, and I know my fans will love it!

FROST: What are your thoughts on the current state of Hip Hop as a genre?

AdELA: Hip Hop has no rules. So as far as the current state, its gonna do what it does!

FROST: If you had the opportunity to collaborate with any artist throughout the industry dead or alive who would it be and why?

AdELA: It would be without a doubt Tupac.  I think we would get in the studio and just vibe. I loved his energy and his attitude and I know we would get in and cook up something special.

FROST: If I were to go through your playlist right now, what 3 artists would I see in your most recently played list?

AdELA: AdELA, Cormega, and Meek Mill

FROST: What kind of advice can you give an artist trying to pursue a music career?

AdELA: Be on time and work harder than everyone around you, including the people on your team.

FROST: Lastly, are there any shout-outs that you want to throw out there?

AdELA: My whole TEAM!
