MOGUL B: When and why did you start rapping?

SIYA: I STARTED AT 7..: IT WAS ALL I COULD DO TO TAKE MY MIND AWAY FROM THE REALITIES OF MY MOTHER BEING ADDICTED TO DRUGS. I WOULD WRITE MY THOUGHTS..: THINGS I WOULDN’T SAY TO ANYONE..: IT TURNED INTO MUSIC

How has being from Brooklyn influenced your craft?

SIYA: IT MADE ME WHO I AM..: I LOVE WHERE I FROM..: BED-STUY THE HOME OF SOME OF HIP-HOPS GREATS..I GREW UP IN R.V (ELEANOR ROOSEVELT HOUSING PROJECTS) MY HOOD IS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST IN BROOKLYN..AND I’M PROUD TO SAY I MADE IT AND CONTINUE TO REP IT

MOGUL B: Describe your family member’s musical interests and abilities.

SIYA: LOL I’M THE ONLY ONE IN MY FAM I THINK..MY GRANDMOTHER LOVES GOSPEL AND SOUL SO THAT’S WHAT I PRETTY MUCH WAS RAISED ON.

MOGUL B: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?

SIYA: I ADMIRE HOV FOR HIS STRUGGLE AND PERSEVERANCE..: HE NEVER GAVE IN TO WHAT THE STREETS WAS OFFERING..: AND HE BECAME ONE OF THE BIGGEST MOGULS IN THE INDUSTRY..: HOW CAN ANYONE NOT ADMIRE THAT..:

MOGUL B: Which famous musicians have you learned from?

SIYA: KRS 1 DEFINITELY TAUGHT ME TO BE A BETTER PERFORMER BY WATCHING HIS SHOWS..: AND LADY GAGA OPENED UP THE DOORS TO TRULY BE YOURSELF WHEN IT COME TO MEDIA AND WE NEED THAT..: MORE PEOPLE TO BE OPEN MINDED

MOGUL B: What are your fondest musical memories

? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

SIYA: GROWING UP IN MY PROJECTS WITH ALL MY HOMEBOYS WHO RAPPED..: WE WOULD GATHER AT MOE-P’S CRIB (GOD REST HIS SOUL) AND RECORD FREESTYLES ON HIS KARAOKE MACHINE AND HAND THEM OUT TO NIGGAS IN THE HOOD..: LOL I MISS THOSE INNOCENT DAYS..: WE DIDN’T KNOW NO BETTER

MOGUL B: Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV?

SIYA: EVERY OTHER DAY IT FEELS LIKE I’M TRAVELING FOR A SHOW OR PERFORMING ALONG SIDE HEADLINERS AT GIGS IN NY AND ALL OVER..: IVER PERFORMED WITH ALL THE UPCOMING CATS ON THE HIPSTER SCENE..: (WIZ, COLE, KENDRICK LAMAR, YELAWOLF..: ETC) JUST TO NAME A FEW..: MY NAME KEEPS LANDING ON MAJOR BILLS..: IVE DONE IT ALL AND CONTINUE TO

SIYA: AS FAR AS MY MUSIC CAREER I CANT SAY I HAVE ANY REGRETS ..: I’M PROUD OF MYSELF..: NOW AS FAR AS LIFE I HAVE A FEW BUT THAT’S HERE NOR THERE..:

MOGUL B: How hard do you think it is for being a female in the rap industry?
